1. About the game

This policy explains how ZomGrid, a tower defense game published by subCharacters, handles information in its free and paid editions (together, the “App”). The free edition offers optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. The paid edition does not show ads.

2. Game data stored on your device

Your progress, gold, research, and settings are stored in the App's local storage on your device. We do not receive this game data through the App. This is separate from the website request, advertising services, and email contact described below.

Depending on your device, settings, and the App's backup configuration, Android system backup may include local App data. Such backups are handled under your device and Google account settings.

3. Importing free-edition data into the paid edition

After you confirm the action, the paid edition can import data from the free edition on the same device. The import replaces and deletes any existing paid-edition data. That existing paid-edition data cannot be recovered after import. The transfer takes place on your device; we do not receive your progress, gold, research, or settings as part of it.

4. Website access

The free edition requests our ZomGrid links page to check the paid-edition store link. This request connects to our website and its hosting provider. As with a normal web request, the provider may process technical information such as your IP address, request time, and user agent to deliver and protect the page. The App does not send your game progress, gold, research, or settings in this request.

5. Ads and Google services

Only the free edition uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) for optional rewarded ads and the User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK for advertising privacy choices. The paid edition does not show ads. Google processes information collected by its services under its own privacy policy.

According to Google's disclosure for the Google Mobile Ads SDK, it may automatically collect and share:

• IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
• Product interactions, such as app launches, taps, and video views;
• Diagnostics, such as app launch time, hang rate, and energy usage;
• Device and account identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID.

Google says this information is used for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention and is encrypted in transit with TLS. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region and choices. You can reset or delete your Android advertising ID in your device settings.

6. Advertising privacy choices

Where required by applicable law, the free edition presents advertising privacy choices through UMP. If available for your region, you can review or change your choices in Settings → Ad privacy settings.

7. Retention and deletion

• Local progress, gold, research, and settings remain on your device until removed through the App or device settings. Clearing App data or uninstalling may remove them; recovery depends on your device backup settings.
• Importing free-edition data permanently replaces existing paid-edition data, as described in Section 3.
• Google retains data it collects according to its own privacy policy.
• If you email us, we receive your email address and message and keep them only as needed to respond to and handle your inquiry.

8. Children's privacy

The App is intended for users aged 16 and over and is not directed to users under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security and international processing

Local game data is stored in the App's storage on your device. Website requests and Google's services involve network transmission; Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit. Google may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States, under its privacy policy.

10. Your choices and contact

You can manage local App data on your device and advertising choices in the free edition as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information processed by us or Google. For questions or requests, contact subcharacters@gmail.com.
